Dr. Marcus Wirtz takes over as new
Chairman of the Board at VDMA Mining & Minerals
On November 21, 2024, the VDMA Mining & Minerals industry meeting took place at the Zeche Zollverein in Essen, Germany. The annual meeting of companies manufacturing machines and solutions for the Mining and Minerals industry focused on key topics such as securing raw materials, sustainability and upcoming regulatory challenges. A highlight of the meeting was the leadership transition within the association: our Managing Director Dr. Marcus Wirtz, was elected as the new Chairman of the Board. As a longstanding member of the VDMA, JOEST group is proud to actively represent the interests of German machine building Dr. Wirtz will also be member of the Main Board of Directors of VDMA. The VDMA is the biggest European industry association representing almost 4.000 machine and plant builders.
