With effect from July 1, 2024, the JOEST group will sell the MSort sorting systems product line to Cologne-based sorting specialist STEINERT.
Until now, the MSort systems have been marketed by MOGENSEN Germany, a subsidiary from Wedel near Hamburg, that has been part of the JOEST group since January. In addition to the German subsidiary, MOGENSEN Spain and MOGENSEN Sweden are also part of the JOEST group. MOGENSEN is globally known for its brands MSizer and MSort as well as other screening and sorting technology solutions.

The MSort brand has been successfully established in the global market for over 20 years. These sorting systems are primarily used in glass recycling, industrial mineral processing and other sectors. With the sale of the MSort product line to STEINERT, a new subsidiary will be established, expanding the portfolio to include transmission and dual-sided detection using color and near-infrared (NIR) starting July 1, 2024. "The MSort brand from MOGENSEN is strong and complements STEINERT's portfolio perfectly. We look forward to future collaboration and thank our owning family, Buchholz, for enabling this growth step." said Peter Funke, Managing Director of STEINERT.

"Through our twenty-year business relationship with STEINERT, we know MSort is in good hands. We are handing over the product line to a top company with a globally strong sales and service network." said Dr. Hans Moormann and Dr. Marcus Wirtz, Managing Partners of the JOEST group.

The decision to dispose the MSort product line to STEINERT allows the JOEST group to focus on its core competencies in vibration, conveying and processing technology. The strategic orientation of the JOEST group concerning MOGENSEN's product portfolio will particularly emphasize the globally unique MSizer technology in screening. The aim is not only to strengthen the MSizer brand but also to significantly increase its market presence and set new standards in screening technology.
