JVM® Dosing Drives

Our Dosing Drives are at the core of efficient conveying and dosing processes. Whether transporting bulk material, ensuring precise material distribution or feeding downstream equipment in a controlled manner – our drives deliver accurate motion and maximum process reliability.

With decades of experience in custom machinery, we provide tailor-made drive solutions precisely matched to your requirements – rugged, low-maintenance, and designed for maximum operational safety.

Discover our technological expertise and learn how JVM® Dosing Drives can optimize your processes – whether for standard applications or demanding custom solutions.

JVM® dosing drives generate only little noise, are main-tenance-free and have naturally been designed for con-tinuous operation. The tried-and-tested engineering and the compact, minimised dead point construction in protection system IP65 ensures operational reliability and easy cleaning. The electromagnetic drives generate linear oscillations and are operated via Thyristor controllers. JD dosing drives are ideal for dosing, mixing and feed-ing applications in the packaging, weighing and automa-tion industries, at low to medium throughput rates. The oscillation amplitude can be infinitely adjusted dur-ing operation via the controller. The conveying speed can thus be adjusted from standstill up to the maximum performance via potentiometer or target value. In order to obtain the optimum vibration parameters, even under varying influences of the conveyed material, every drive unit is tuned in our workshop to the effective weight required by your application. The drives are also ideal for clock cycle operation be-cause the drive reaches maximum oscillation amplitude as soon as it is started and it comes to a stop immedi-ately after being switched off. JVM® dosing drives generate only little noise, are main-tenance-free and have naturally been designed for con-tinuous operation. The tried-and-tested engineering and the compact, minimised dead point construction in pro-tection system IP65 ensures operational reliability and easy cleaning. Using several drive units on one machine allows for longer conveying routes, and/or higher design weights. Please note that dosing drives are operated via a thyristor controller. Please use only the specified moving-iron instruments for measuring the current. Centre of gravity The centre of gravity of the trough top fixture must be situated on the X-X line for all types. The dimension “K” states the intersection with the bearing surface.

Applications

JVM® Dosing Drives are used wherever bulk materials need to be conveyed, metered or fed in a controlled manner. They are ideally suited for use in conveying, dosing and discharge processes – whether in continuous or cyclically controlled applications.

Typical fields of application include the food, chemical, recycling, and construction materials industries, as well as metal and glass processing. From fine powders to coarse-grained material – the drives ensure uniform material flow and precise control of feed rates.

Thanks to their compact design and high reliability, JVM® Dosing Drives can be flexibly integrated into existing systems and individually adapted to meet specific requirements.

Technology at a Glance

Technical Data

The dosing drives of the JD series combine a compact design with high performance and are engineered for a wide range of applications, including use in demanding environments.

Each dosing drive of the JD series can handle a load of up to 22 kg, making it suitable for conveying even heavier bulk materials.

Supply voltage 115–230 V, 50/60 Hz – optionally 42–230 V, 50/60 Hz via thyristor controller TK5.
The drives offer flexible connection options for various voltage and frequency ranges – with the option of precise control via thyristor regulation.

Designed for continuous operation (duty type S1), ensuring reliable performance without interruption.

With IP65 protection, the drive is effectively shielded against dust and water jets – ideal for use in industrial environments.

For use in potentially explosive atmospheres, the drives are also available in an ATEX-compliant version.

The surface is coated with a robust hammer finish paint in silver (Reinsilber 91) – ensuring optimal protection and a high-quality appearance.

The JD series is available in four graduated sizes. In addition, G versions are offered for increased load capacities – individually adaptable to your application.

For explosion-proof versions (JDA/JDE), operation is only permitted in combination with our certified “N 3/250 E” safety device – ensuring maximum safety in hazardous areas.

For specific requirements, such as increased vibration amplitudes, we offer custom-engineered solutions – feel free to contact us.
