JVM® Thyristor Control Units
The thyristor control units of the JThyro-A series have been specifically developed for the reliable operation of electromagnetic drives (magnetic vibrators MS). They enable precise and stepless power control, automatically compensate for mains fluctuations, and thus ensure consistent conveying and dosing processes – even under changing operating conditions.
Whether in packaging technology, conveying systems, or automatic dosing systems: JThyro-A control units ensure stable processes, high energy efficiency, and easy integration into modern automation systems.
FUNCTION and features
Precise and Flexible Power Control
The conveying capacity can be adjusted steplessly. The setpoint can be specified optionally via standard analog signals:
0–5 V · 0–20 mA · 4–20 mA
Constant Conveying Performance During Mains Fluctuations
Mains voltage fluctuations of ±10% are automatically compensated. This keeps the conveying current stable and ensures consistent process quality.
Optimized Power Quality
A low THD value (Total Harmonic Distortion) reduces mains feedback and improves the overall energy efficiency of the system.
Digital Communication and Easy Integration
Fully digital communication protocols enable integration into modern control and supervisory systems. Fault messages, alarms, actual and setpoint values are freely configurable, simplifying integration into existing automation solutions.
Additional Bus Communications
With the Thyro Basic Bus Module, PROFINET connectivity becomes a powerful extension of your system.
Up to eight power controllers can be centrally networked and seamlessly integrated into modern automation systems. Full operation via the bus is possible – including transmission of all process data and convenient control directly from the PLC level.
Amplitude Monitoring (Optional)
With the optional J-SEN4.0 vibration sensor, the actual vibration amplitude can be controlled. Load changes are detected and automatically compensated.
Safe Operating
In the event of a failure of the actual value signal, the control unit reliably protects the drive against mechanical end-stop operation.
Also integrated:
- Analog output for process indication
- Relay contact for fault signaling
- Diagnostic interface (optional)
- LED status indicators
Flexible Designs for Every Application
The control units are available as:
- Built-in version (IP21) for control cabinet integration
- Fully wired enclosure version (IP54), with or without optional switch and potentiometer
Compact dimensions allow for space-saving installation.
Certifications and Compliance
The devices meet CE marking requirements and comply with relevant European directives for safety, EMC, and low voltage. For the North American market, the power controllers are UL 508 certified and additionally comply with the Canadian standard CSA C22.2 No. 14. This enables international use in industrial applications.
