Our History

At JOEST, we have stood for technical excellence, reliability and continuous development in special machinery manufacturing for over a century. What began in 1919 as a small repair workshop in Münster has evolved over the decades into a globally active group of companies – specialized in vibrating machines, conveying technology and automated system solutions for a wide range of industries.

Since producing our first vibrating machine in 1954, we have continuously advanced – technologically, organizationally and geographically. Key milestones include our relocation to Dülmen, the integration of innovative technologies and the expansion of our manufacturing capacities, as well as the strategic acquisition and incorporation of strong brands into our corporate structure.

By integrating brands such as HERWEG, DIETERLE, GOESSLING and MOGENSEN, we have steadily expanded our portfolio – always with the goal of delivering the best possible solution to our customers worldwide.

Internationalization

The JOEST group

With 12 subsidiaries across four continents, we are globally positioned while maintaining strong regional roots. Our international expansion began in 2001 with the founding of JOEST Australia, enabling us to serve the dynamic Oceania market with local expertise and short response times. In 2006, JOEST USA and JOEST France were established, significantly expanding our presence in North America and Western Europe.

JOEST China was founded in 2008, marking another milestone in the Asian market. Just one year later, in 2009, JOEST India followed – today a key pillar for the South Asian region. In 2012, we further extended our global reach with two more subsidiaries: the founding of JOEST South Africa and our participation in JBM China, strengthening our position in both Africa and Asia.

In 2014, we entered the South American market with the establishment of JOEST Brazil, providing customers there with direct access to tailored solutions and services. With JOEST Korea founded in 2017, we responded to the growing demand in the East Asian market by adding another key subsidiary in the region.

A major strategic milestone was the integration of GOESSLING into the JOEST group in 2019. Specializing in conveying and automation solutions – particularly for bulk materials and metal parts – GOESSLING is a perfect addition to our portfolio. In 2024, our network was further strengthened with the addition of MOGENSEN, a company with extensive expertise in screening technology, enhancing our capabilities in classification and sorting.

With this global structure and close collaboration within the JOEST group, we ensure that our customers benefit from the highest standards in quality, innovation and service – locally anchored, globally connected.

We grow together – through innovative solutions, strong partnerships and a clear presence in global markets.
